I will be taking my images in a studio because a plain background is easier to remove in Photoshop. Also, in a studio you can alter the lighting to your desired look. The studio at college has 3 backdrops; black, white and green. I plan to use the green screen in case I decide to add a setting to the background. I would easily be able to remove the background and add another image behind the model.
As my magazine will be guitar music based, the model will be playing a guitar. I plan on using an acoustic and an electric guitar because the model plays both, and this is something I will talk about in the article for the double page spread. I will also take some long shots with the model sitting on a chair in order to give the images a different look.
I plan on photographing the model in 2 outfits, both his own. The first will be full length dungarees with a plain top and Doc Martens. I think the dungarees will add a folk style look to the images. The other outfit will be the same top but paired with a raincoat and ripped jeans. This will appeal to the younger section of the target audience as it will give the magazine a more mainstream and edgy look.
